Assistant Superintendent Job Description: 

The Assistant Superintendent will be an integral part of a team that oversees the construction of largescale commercial projects. The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for project quality control, subcontractor coordination, daily logs/project documentation, safety, and inspections. 

 

Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities: 

Coordinate and oversee daily subcontractor project assignments 

Ensure a safe workplace that meets company standards and OSHA requirements 

Schedule and monitor material deliveries 

Perform daily quality control walks 

Create punch lists for trades on each phase of construction 

Organize city inspections 

Maintain job site paperwork: daily reports, material order and delivery, employee safety certifications 

Effectively collaborate with clients and other team members, engineers, architects, inspectors, and city officials 

Attend project status meetings and assist in problem solving efforts 

 

Assistant Superintendent Qualifications: 

1-3 years’ experience in the construction industry as an Assistant Superintendent working on largescale commercial projects 

Proficient with relevant construction computer software and Microsoft Office
