Responsibilities
- Reviewing Request for Proposal specifications, drawings, and attending pre-bid
- meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Preparing detailed estimates by calculating complete takeoff of the scope of work.
- Coordinating the total estimating effort relevant to specific bids/projects as assigned.
- Maintaining files of working documents to back up estimate figures.
- Engaging with owners, architects, engineers, and other contractors to provide
- engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility.
- Monitoring awarded contracts as assigned, which may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, and procuring material.
- Performing additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in estimating, cost control, and/or engineering related to
- similar facility construction, preferably in the Denver market.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control, plus the ability to
- interpret computerized cost data and systems.
- Proficient in Word, Excel & OST
- A team-oriented personality is essential.
