Key Responsibilities

The Field Engineer II will serve as a liaison between architects, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth operations across all project phases. Responsibilities include safety oversight, material coordination, quality control, and documentation management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project plans and the ability to resolve conflicts or questions as they arise.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct and oversee weekly jobsite safety meetings and audits.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with subcontractors and superintendents.
  • Perform quality control checks and manage stormwater inspections.
  • Generate RFIs and review submittals prior to architectural approval.
  • Manage project documentation, including plans, permits, and specifications.
  • Assist with developing and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans.
  • Call for inspections, walk with inspectors, and maintain punch lists for timely project completion.
  • Compile owner/operations manuals, warranties, and relevant documentation.
  • Support BIM coordination with Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto integration.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management.
  • OR Associate’s degree in Construction Management + 2-4 years of field/project engineering experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam. Revit/Revizto knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret project documents (plans, specifications, etc.).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is preferred but not required.
