Role Overview

The Field Engineer will coordinate necessary needs and address any conflicts between our trade partners (architects and subcontractors) to ensure every project runs smoothly from start to finish. The Field Engineer must have an in-depth knowledge of the project plans and specifications to evaluate and resolve any questions or concerns as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and audits to ensure on-site and public safety.
  • Manage material lead times, approvals, and deliveries to meet schedules.
  • Perform quality control checks on systems and installations.
  • Schedule inspections, assist with permits, and walk inspections with inspectors.
  • Conduct stormwater inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with subcontractors and site superintendents.
  • Review subcontractor submittals for accuracy before final architectural approval.
  • Generate and manage RFIs to address design team inquiries.
  • Distribute updated plans and specifications to subcontractors.
  • Create and distribute punch lists to ensure timely completion.
  • Compile owner manuals, warranties, and closeout documentation.
  • Manage and integrate Revit and Navisworks files into Revizto.
  • Assist in developing project-specific QA/QC plans.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and files.
Qualifications
  • 4-year B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management, OR
  • 2-year A.S. degree in Construction Management PLUS 2-4 years of experience as a field/project engineer.
  • Software: MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Revizto, Navisworks
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification
