Executive Vice President, Preconstruction & Operations / Senior Estimator

Position Overview:
Sky Blue Builders is seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator ready to advance into an executive role. As EVP of Preconstruction & Operations, you’ll lead preconstruction and operations, manage estimating teams, and ensure successful project execution from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Preconstruction and Operations teams.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for project efficiency.
• Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Prepare detailed estimates using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Excel.
• Coordinate bids and engage with clients and contractors.
• Monitor contracts, handle change orders, and procure materials.
• Mentor Estimator I and Assistant Estimator.
• Influence hiring decisions within the estimating team.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in construction, with a focus on preconstruction and operations.
• Strong background as a Senior Estimator with expertise in Federal, Government, and Commercial sectors.
• Proficient in OST, Excel, and related software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

Compensation:

• Salary: $170,000 – $180,000 base, with benefits and bonus opportunities.
