Senior Project Manager – Government/Commercial

Location: Denver Colorado (metro)
Reports To: VP Field Operations/VP Operations
Employment Type: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt
Salary Range: $90,000 -$160,000
General Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all administrative and coordination functions for multiple projects from the early stages of negotiations or bidding through completion. This role requires close collaboration with the Superintendent and involves building and managing teams of employees and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.
Select Responsibilities:
- Oversee pre-construction services including purchase orders, subcontracts, schedules, job cost set-up, and project pre-planning.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with contract documents.
- Develop project plans, establish staffing needs, and allocate resources for project phases.
- Monitor quality control and project progress to ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
- Prepare and review status reports and modify plans as necessary.
- Provide technical advice and resolve project-related problems.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
- Manage and evaluate project personnel, including Superintendents and non-supervisory employees.
- Handle performance management of vendors.
- Coordinate meetings and monitor project budgets.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years in the commercial building industry with a strong understanding of the commercial construction process and scheduling.
EDUCATION:
No specific degree mentioned, but a strong educational background in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
SOFTWARE:
Required: Microsoft Project, Bluebeam
Preferred: Procore, BIM 360, P6 Primavera
CERTIFICATIONS:
Pass a background check – (No felonies in the last 10 years)
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
Write reports and business correspondence
Apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
PROJECT EXPERIENCE:
Diverse Project Experience – Tilt Wall, Large Commercial, Higher Education, Municipal (fire stations, police stations, libraries, arts and performance venues), Complex Hospitality and Aviation.
- Experience working in the government construction realm is a plus but not mandatory.
