Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) – Federal Construction

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Type: Full-time
Travel: Requires travel to project sites in SD and ND

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage Accident Prevention Plan (APP), ensuring 100% compliance with USACE EM-385
• Evaluate and control workplace safety and health hazards
• Manage environmental issues and inspect vehicles/equipment
• Train field personnel in safety standards
• Provide technical and regulatory expertise
• Develop safety plans and preplan contractor activities for safety
• Guide site and company leadership on project safety

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Safety Engineering or related field + 2 years’ SSHO experience on USACE projects, or 3-5 years’ SSHO experience on USACE projects
• OSHA 30 Hour certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000
