We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in healthcare construction to lead and manage complex construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique requirements and regulations associated with healthcare facilities and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Lead the planning phase of healthcare construction projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resources, and budget estimates.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigation strategies are developed.

 

Project Execution and Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and quality control.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all parties are aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Manage the procurement process, including selecting and negotiating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress continuously, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project objectives.

 

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.

 

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met.
  • Track and report on project costs, identifying and addressing any variances.
  • Approve expenditures and implement cost-saving measures as needed.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and other team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Ensure that all team members have the necessary tools and training to perform their roles effectively.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years focused on healthcare construction projects.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms
