About the Company

We are representing a well-established and rapidly growing glass and glazing subcontractor with a strong footprint across the Southeastern U.S. Known for delivering high-quality façade and envelope solutions on large-scale commercial projects, this company is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join its Charlotte-based team.

Role Overview

The Project Superintendent will oversee all on-site activities for complex commercial glazing projects, including storefront, curtain wall, ACM panel systems, and more. This individual must bring hands-on leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and deep technical knowledge of building envelope systems, particularly on multi-million-dollar projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day site operations on commercial glass and glazing projects
  • Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, vendors, and General Contractors
  • Manage installation sequences, deliveries, and materials handling
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient jobsite in line with OSHA standards
  • Interpret project drawings, specifications, and installation details
  • Ensure compliance with scope, quality standards, and timeline
  • Oversee field installation of systems including:
  • Storefront
  • Stick-built and unitized curtain wall
  • Window wall
  • ACM panels
  • Punch windows
  • Railing systems
  • Glass canopies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial glass and glazing field supervision
  • Proven track record leading multi-million-dollar projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of curtain wall, panel systems, and glazing installations
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work full-time on-site in the Charlotte, NC area
  • Must be able to pass a background check
