Nationally known General Contractor with 8 offices across Texas, currently in growth mode with various Healthcare and Higher Education projects. Actively seeking a Superintendent to lead projects in the DFW and/or Lubbock areas.

Superintendent Job Description

The Superintendent will have overall responsibility for an assigned construction project in the verticals listed above and a proven track record on safety, quality, budgeting and scheduling.

• Manage the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and labor, maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality for each work activity.
• Plan look-ahead schedules, maintain project schedule controls.
• Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Director / project executives
• Document on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance to project/contract requirements
• Review subcontract agreements
• Maintain strict control over the budget for each work activity
• Assist in preparation of project status report and provide complete daily reports to the Project Manager.

Select Responsibilities:

• Verticals include ground-up and renovation projects for healthcare (hospitals) and higher education
• A minimum of 5 years of construction experience as a Superintendent on projects within healthcare and higher education sectors
• A thorough understanding of and ability to maintain a current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications, and related items
• General computer skills, willingness to expand the use of new technologies for scheduling and reports.

Ideal Commercial Candidate

• Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Superintendent
• Projects led should include the Ground Up or Renovations of hospitals or higher education projects
• Please include a Project List of most recent completed or ongoing projects.
