Commissioning Manager – Data Center Projects (Traveling)

This employee-owned general contractor is seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning operations on hyperscale and enterprise data center projects across the U.S.

This is a project-based travel role ideal for commissioning professionals who thrive in highly technical environments and are confident overseeing complex system startups and integrated systems testing (IST).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full commissioning process from early design reviews through project closeout

• Coordinate and supervise pre-functional and functional testing of MEP systems

• Interface with project managers, subcontractors, and third-party commissioning agents

• Lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and ensure strict adherence to client specs

• Track and manage issue logs using commissioning software platforms

• Ensure all systems meet performance benchmarks and deliver mission-ready handovers

Qualifications:

• 7+ years commissioning experience on large-scale data center or mission-critical facilities

• Deep understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and controls systems

• Proficient in commissioning management software (e.g., Facility Grid, CXAlloy, BlueRithm, etc.)

• Strong documentation, report writing, and technical communication skills

• Willingness and ability to travel nationally for project assignments
