Our client, a well-established local General Contractor with over 50 years in the market, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This company has built a strong reputation across both the commercial and multifamily sectors, with work consisting of approximately a 50/50 split between the two.

This is a key hire for the team due to internal growth and promotion. The company strongly believes in promoting from within, but they are currently looking for an experienced PM who can step in and immediately contribute to their expanding multifamily pipeline.

What They’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in ground-up multifamily construction, specifically:

• Podium-style multifamily projects
• Wood-frame over podium construction
• Mid-rise multifamily experience preferred
• Affordable housing experience is a major plus

Current projects include:

• 7-story multifamily developments
• Mixed-use components at street level
• Projects in the $35M range
• Tower crane experience preferred

Approximately 90% of their multifamily portfolio is affordable housing, so experience in that space will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client communication
• Lead project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain schedule and quality
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
• Strong multifamily construction background required
• Experience with podium / wood-over-podium construction strongly preferred
• Experience on ground-up multifamily projects in the $20M+ range
• Mixed-use experience is a plus
• Strong tenure and proven project history
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
