Construction Project Manager

Location: Grand Junction, CO
Compensation: $95,000–$130,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising construction projects from contract award through closeout. This role represents Shaw Construction both operationally and commercially, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the project team and execute overall project strategy.
  • Manage project budget, buyout, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and Shaw Best Practices.
  • Manage client communications and OAC coordination.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor selection, buyout, and contracting.
  • Review and manage job cost reporting and internal/external reporting.
  • Facilitate permits, bonds, insurance, and project kickoff logistics.
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, schedule development and updates, QA/QC, and safety compliance.
  • Develop and manage project turnover and closeout plans.
  • Supervise and mentor Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Engineer.
  • Participate in training initiatives, preconstruction efforts, and business development activities.

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 8+ years of building construction experience.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with financial ownership and forecasting experience.
  • Effective communicator with strong client?facing and team?management capabilities
