Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing Houston team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated construction professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and is looking to play a key role in expanding an established commercial contractor’s presence in the Houston market.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Job Order Contracting (JOC), estimating, and managing occupied renovation projects. Healthcare experience is highly preferred, though candidates with JOC experience in K-12 or higher education will also be considered.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop project estimates and support preconstruction efforts
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners
  • Successfully deliver occupied renovation projects with minimal disruption to ongoing operations
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and support new business development
  • Collaborate closely with field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

 

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Required: Job Order Contracting (JOC) experience
  • Required: Estimating experience (JOC)
  • Experience managing occupied renovation projects
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred (occupied hospital renovation/JOC work)
  • JOC experience within K-12 or higher education will also be considered
  • Existing relationships with JOC clients are a strong plus
  • Must be based in the Houston area with an established local network (relocation candidates will not be considered)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000–$130,000 (up to $140,000 for an exceptional candidate)
