Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

A growing commercial construction firm is seeking a Project Manager to join its team in the Waukesha, WI area. We are looking for a motivated Project Manager with 3-5 years of commercial construction experience who can successfully support and manage projects from pre-construction through closeout. Experience with retail construction projects is highly desirable, but candidates with backgrounds in other commercial sectors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to keep projects on track.
• Review project documentation, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
• Assist with project forecasting, reporting, and cost control.
• Support field teams and maintain strong communication throughout all phases of construction.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, project engineering, or construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with commercial construction projects; retail construction experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
