Our client, an established commercial general contractor in the Oklahoma City market, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team. This individual will be responsible for leading field operations and delivering high-quality commercial construction projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

K-12 / education construction experience is strongly preferred, although candidates with strong experience across other commercial sectors will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations from preconstruction through project closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and project schedules
• Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Manage site safety and maintain compliance with company and OSHA requirements
• Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate upcoming scopes of work
• Partner closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and other project stakeholders
• Manage inspections, punch lists, and project turnover
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience
• K-12 / education construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ground-up construction, additions, renovations, and/or occupied-campus projects is highly valued
• Candidates from other commercial sectors, including healthcare, office, retail, hospitality, and institutional construction, will also be considered
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, plans, and specifications
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and maintain demanding project schedules
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Oklahoma construction experience is a plus
