Scott Humphrey

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to manage commercial interior projects from initial pricing and preconstruction through construction and closeout.

This role specifically requires someone who has operated as a Project Manager who estimates their own projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning the full project lifecycle — developing estimates, managing client relationships, coordinating subcontractors, and ultimately delivering the work they priced.

Experience with Class A office interiors, commercial renovations, and/or industrial interior buildouts is strongly preferred. Experience with multi-tenant buildings, including high-rise office environments, is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial interior buildout and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Estimate and manage your own projects, maintaining ownership from initial bid through final completion
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, develop scopes of work, solicit subcontractor pricing, and prepare detailed estimates
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, constructability, and potential project risks
  • Lead subcontractor bid solicitation, leveling, and selection
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams throughout construction
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and building management
  • Manage project financials and ensure projects meet budget and profitability expectations
  • Lead projects through punch list, turnover, and closeout

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
  • Must have experience personally estimating/bidding the projects you manage
  • Strong experience with interior buildouts and/or renovations
  • Experience with Class A office, corporate interiors, industrial interiors, or similar commercial projects
  • Multi-tenant and/or high-rise interior construction experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of estimating, subcontractor scopes, construction costs, and project financials
  • Ability to independently manage projects from initial estimate through completion
  • Strong client-facing, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

Ideal Project Experience

  • Class A Office Interiors
  • Corporate Office Buildouts
  • Multi-Tenant Office Buildings
  • High-Rise Tenant Improvements
  • Industrial Interior Buildouts
  • Commercial Renovations
  • Occupied-Space Renovations
