Overview

Our client, a General Contractor based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Project Manager with healthcare construction experience to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong coordination across active healthcare environments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Interface with hospital leadership, facilities teams, architects, and engineers
  • Lead project meetings including OAC and healthcare stakeholder coordination
  • Oversee work in active and occupied environments with strict infection control and safety protocols
  • Support preconstruction efforts including planning, phasing, and constructability reviews
  • Participate in business development efforts including RFPs and client presentations
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulations, standards, and site requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience with healthcare project exposure
  • Experience managing projects in active hospital or occupied healthcare environments
  • Strong understanding of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA)
  • Strong understanding of Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM)
  • Strong understanding of phasing and shutdown planning
  • Experience managing interior renovations and tenant improvements
  • Ground-up or major addition experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare systems, hospitals, or medical facilities in Colorado
  • Bluebeam experience
  • Procore experience
  • Established relationships within the local healthcare construction market
