Our client is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead mission-critical and industrial projects across the United States. In this position, you will manage design/build, construction management, or construct-only projects from assignment through completion. You’ll be accountable for all construction activities on assigned project(s), partnering closely with field leadership, design partners, subcontractors, and owners to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project leadership in responding to RFPs, including conceptual estimates, scheduling, and proposal documentation; assist with client presentations as needed.

• Monitor design document progress; participate in design reviews and provide constructability input, including scope and cost impacts.

• Prepare detailed estimates, cost codes, and project cost control systems.

• Develop bid packages and invitations to bid; analyze bids, qualify subcontractors, and award subcontracts and major purchase orders.

• Partner with construction leadership to establish jobsite organization, including superintendent and field staffing requirements.

• Plan, sequence, and schedule projects with input from the superintendent and subcontractors; manage the master schedule, conduct job site meetings, and issue schedule updates.

• Maintain project cost control, including labor cost reporting, summary cost reports, and project status summaries.

• Coordinate permitting, inspections, and final approvals with governing authorities and the A/E team.

• Oversee submittal control: scheduling, receiving, reviewing, approving, and expediting submittals to maintain progress.

• Manage owner/client relationships, including progress meetings, correspondence, reporting, change orders, and inquiry responses.

• Prepare payment requisitions and project invoicing; maximize cash flow through timely invoicing and collections.

• Secure owner acceptance of change orders; issue modifications to subcontracts and purchase orders and update budgets accordingly.

• Oversee subcontractor and vendor payments, including review/approval of schedules of values, pay apps, invoices, and insurance compliance.

• Address subcontractor and supplier performance issues, including documentation, default notices, and replacement when required.

• Monitor project progress, quality, and safety; partner with the superintendent to correct issues in alignment with contract and company policies.

• Mentor and develop construction personnel through coaching and on-the-job training.

• Lead project closeout and coordinate warranty work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum 3 years of construction project management experience.

• Strong knowledge of estimating, construction means and methods, engineering principles, equipment, and construction technology.

• Experience with data center/mission-critical facility design and construction strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, labor, and materials across multiple competing priorities.

• Excellent safety awareness and working knowledge of industry safety procedures.

• Strong organizational, supervisory, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Physical / Work Environment Requirements

This role requires the ability to visit job sites and perform standard field activities including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting/carrying light to medium weights (10–50 lbs). Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity are needed to operate equipment and review project documentation. Frequent sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing are also required.
